·       Wrongly set Internet settings.

·       Corruption in Net Framework and ActiveX Controls.

What solutions can be used against QuickBooks Online Error 101?

This issue can be sorted out if you focus on the following solutions.

Solution 1: Make Intuit an inclusion in the Trusted Sites list

By including QB as a trusted site, the site would be safeguarded against any threats from the browser itself. The steps are:

·       Run Internet Explorer, and from there, move to Gear icon.

·       Then, choose Internet Options, and then the Security tab.

·       Now, choose Trusted Sites and then Sites.

·       Add – https://*.intuit.com and  hit on Add.

·       Close the window now and then choose Allow Cross-Domain Requests in the Custom Level option.

·       The last step is to hit on Ok.

Solution 2: Enable ActiveX Controls

The steps to follow are:

·       Open Internet Explorer, and go to Security tab, followed by making a stride for Internet option.

·       Now, go to Custom Level, and now to Internet Zone window.

·       Go for ActiveX Controls and Plugins.

·       Herein, turn on the following options:

·       Download Signed ActiveX controls,

·       Binary and Script Behaviors,

·       Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting, and

·       Lastly, hit a click on Ok.

Solution 3: Reset Pop up Settings

·       First, go to Privacy, and from there, choose Advanced.

·       Tick the Override Automatic Cookie Handling option.

·       Also, allow First Party and Third-Party Cookies, along with enabling Always Allow Session Cookies option
